Chelsea Set to Tie Down Belgian Superstar Eden Hazard With a New Contract

Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard is set to be offered a contract extension which will see him tied to the club until 2021, according to theDaily Star.

The Belgian international's current deal expires in 2020 and the Blues are keen to maintain the services of the winger for as long as possible after a sensational Premier League campaign.

The 26-year-old wing wizard has scored 11 times in the league and recorded four assists as Antonio Conte's well-drilled side look set to reclaim the crown they surrendered so dismally to Leicester last season.

Real Madrid are said to have expressed an interest in Hazard, particularly if James Rodriguez and Isco leave Los Blancos, and Chelsea will attempt to warn off the Spanish giants with the new contract.

Conte recently admitted that the Blues cannot lose the Belgian because he is "priceless".

"I'm not very good to put a price on a player," he said.

"Is he priceless to Chelsea? I think Eden is for sure a great player, a top player.

"He is at a very high level. But I don't see the problem because we don't want to sell him. He hasn't got a price now."

Chelsea are also working on a new deal for Conte, with midfield enforcer Nemanja Matic set to agree on an extension next week.

The current state of the west London side is extremely positive with players looking happy and keen to pledge their future to the club.

Hazard last season looked set to depart England as a broken man, but he has turned it around and has become the main man again in the top-tier.
