Chelsea Skipper 'Shaken' After Mansion Targeted by Burglars While on Skiing Holiday

Chelsea captain John Terry has fallenvictim to a burglary at his £5m Surrey mansion while on a recent skiing holiday with his wife, according to The Sun.

Terry posted images of himself and other half Toni on Instagram while away enjoying a break, and it's reported that friends are fearful that the criminals struck upon seeing the posts - knowing Terry's house was free. The family are reported to be "shaken" after the incident.

The report claims his home was "ransacked" by the burglars, but push home hard that Terry's social media activity was a prime reason why the incident came about. It is reported to have occurred last Saturday, as the burglars dodged security in order to enter the house - that comes even while Terry's actual holiday post was uploaded in midweek.

A source claimed: "They (Terry and his wife)love sharing photographs, but they haven't been very subtle about their home. There have been a number of cases where high-profile people have been targeted because of their Instagram and Twitter pages - and John and Toni are very regular posters online.

"It's a very real possibility that these burglars have seen some of their posts. It's like a catalogue for would-be thieves, and even played a part when Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris."

Terry is likely to be in his final season at Chelsea after featuring very little under manager Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge this season, with recent reports linking him with a move to Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy when his contract expires this summer.
