With Chelsea linked to strikers galore, ESPN FC's Stevie Nicol tries to make sense of which players would be best suited for a move to Stamford Bridge. Antonio Conte comments on Michy Batshuayi's two-goal outing against Newcastle, the Belgian's future at Chelsea and the club's activity in the transfer market.

LONDON -- Michy Batshuayi is set to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move from Chelsea to Borussia Dortmund, sources have told ESPN FC.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte had said Batshuayi remained in his plans to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday, but the Belgian will fly to Germany to complete the proposed deal ahead of the 5 p.m. Bundesliga transfer deadline.

Dortmund are keen to complete the temporary move for Batshuayi to fill the void that will be left if Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finalises a £60 million move to Arsenal.

Michy Batshuayi will have a medical in Germany, sources have said.

Chelsea's decision to allow Batshuayi to travel to Germany underlines their confidence in completing a deadline day deal for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, who will provide competition and cover for first-choice striker Alvaro Morata.

Batshuayi has started just three Premier League matches this season despite Morata struggling for form and fitness in recent months, with Conte often instead deploying Eden Hazard as a false No. 9.

The striker is keen to play regular first-team football to secure a place in Belgium's World Cup squad.
