Chelsea target Vardy returns to Leicester training

Craig Shakespeare has revealed that Jamie Vardy will be fit in time to feature in the Carabao Cup against Sheffield United on Tuesday.

Vardy had to be forced off during the final minutes of the game in Leicester City's 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

But as a huge relief for the Foxes, Shakespeare has revealed that the injury suffered by the striker is not serious and that he should be available for the League Cup clash against the Blades on Tuesday.

Shakespeare said about Vardy's fitness: "Jamie trained this morning okay. It was sore yesterday, but he was okay to train today.

"I think it was more of a nerve rather than a kick. Once we released the pressure in his foot, it became a lot easier for him. He is okay and will be involved tomorrow. At what length, we will have to wait and see. I plan to make changes."
