Chelsea won all four of their Premier League games in October, scoring 11 times as a team in the process, and Hazard was at the heart of such remarkable resurgence following a mixed start to the 2016/17 season.

After a fine individual performance in the 2-0 win over Hull to kick off the month, the Belgian star found the net in the subsequent 3-0 win against reigning champions Leicester.

Hazard was on target as Chelsea hammered Manchester United 4-0 at Stamford Bridge and then scored one of his team's goals in the 2-0 victory over Southampton, assisting the other for team-mate Diego Costa.

This marks the first time that Hazard has been named Player of the Month, despite arriving in England back in 2012 and actuallywinning PFA, FWA and Premier League Player of the Season awards for the triumphant 2014/15 campaign.
