Former Ghana international, Laryea Kingston has welcomed the decision by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to appoint Irish-Ghanaian tactician Chris Hughton as the new Black Stars head coach.
According to him, the appointment is solid and one that will help the national team hopefully.
In an interview with Joy Sports, Laryea Kingston said Chris Hughton's experience and knowledge of modern trends in football will be very key during his time as Black Stars' head coach.
"The appointment of Chris Hughton as the new coach of the Black Stars is solid.
"Chris Hughton brings experience and he understands the modern trend of football," Laryea Kingston said in an interview.
The Ghana FA confirmed the appointment of Coach Chris Hughton as the new Black Stars boss on Sunday night.
In the confirmation statement, the football association also said George Boateng and Didi Dramani have been maintained as assistant coaches for the Black Stars.
