Legendary Ghana goalkeeper Edward Dodoo Ankrah has advised Black Stars coach Chris Hughton to be a man on his own in order to succeed.

Hughton was unveiled on Monday as Ghana coach at the SG Mall in Kumasi and will be in charge of the Black Stars until December 2024.

His first assignment is against Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday in the AFCON qualifiers.

In an interview with Happy FM, the former Black Stars shot stopper urged Hughton not to listen to outsiders and be on top of his job.

"Chris Hughton must be on top of his job, he must be faithful, true and after all he must stick to his job as a coach and not listen to outsiders”.

The 89-year-old was in post when Ghana won the 1963 and 1965 African Cup of Nations respectively.
