Christian Atsu is alive now – Turkish Football agent confirms

Turkish Football agent, Muratt has confirmed former Black Stars midfielder Christian Atsu has been rescued from the rubble after massive earthquake in the European country.

A lot of people have perished due to the unfortunate incident that hit Turkey in the early hours of Monday.

In an interview with Peace FM, Muratt, who is the agent of Ghana midfielder Bernard Mensah and other Ghanaian players confirmed Atsu is alive.

“I am the agent of Bernard Mensah and some Ghanaian players in Turkey. Christian Atsu is also a close friend so since the earthquake we tried to reach him, of course is not easy because it is the biggest earthquake in Turkish history actually so many cities have been destroyed”

“I was talking with Hatayspor, his club and the Vice President always inform us about the situation, I think two hours ago we got a good news he was saved, rescued and is at the hospital but we couldn’t learn which hospital he was”

“He has injuries but don’t know the type of injuries he picked. The good news is that he is alive now. There were fake news that he has been rescued yesterday but two hours, it is confirmed and verified so now he is okay and we praying for him”

The Ghana international was trapped under debris after the earthquake and was located after extensive search efforts.

Atsu who plays for Turkish Süper Lig club Hatayspor was in action on Sunday, scoring a late goal to secure a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa.

The winger joined Hatayspor in September after parting ways with Al Raed in Saudi Arabia.
