Ghanaian winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei played maximum minutes as Paderborn fell to a 3-1 home defeat at the hands of Borussia Monchengladbach.

The visitors got to work immediately and took the lead in the fourth minute through Patrick Herrmann. The hosts tried to fight back for the duration of the half but they could not find a way through.

They kept fighting at the start of the second half and got their equalizer through Sven Michael in the 53rd minute. Their comeback moment was short lived however after Lars Stindl converted a penalty two minutes later.

The away side then got a two goal cushion with 17 minutes left in regulation time. Lars Stindl was the one to plunge the final dagger in the hearts of Paderborn.

Christopher tried to make things happen during the game but the opposition proved too strong on the day.

Paderborn are rock bottom of the table with 20 points from 33 games. Relegation has already been confirmed for the side. Their opponents are currently fourth on the log with 62 points.
