Christopher Antwi-Adjei's Bochum escapes relegation in Bundesliga

In a dramatic twist that sent shockwaves through the Bundesliga, Christopher Antwi Adjei's Bochum has managed to escape the jaws of relegation, defying all odds and securing their top-flight status for another season.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei started the game and played the full minutes at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

The away side started the game on a bad note. Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Amine Adli was shown a red card for violent conduct in the 8th minute.

Philipp Förster's left footed shot from the centre of the box to the bottom left corner gave the home side the lead in the 19th minute. Förster's goal was assisted by Takuma Asano with a cross.

Former Liverpool player Takuma Asano scored VfL Bochum 1848's second goal in the 34th minute. His right footed shot from the centre of the box landed in the bottom right corner.

Kevin Stöger sealed the win for VfL Bochum 1848 in the 86th minute.  Stöger's goal was assisted by Simon Zoller.
