Christopher Darmenya, Chairman for Kumasi Asante Kotoko National Circles Council has advised Ghanaian supporters and Kotoko supporters to comport themselves whenever they go to the stadium to witness a football game as 2020/21GPL season is about to start.

The hooliganism in football has been one of the major problems we have in Ghana. Due to the behaviour of some supporters after Kotoko's shock defeat to Brekum Chelsea in January 2020, one of the Kotoko supporters Augustine Oppong was injured on his eye after a police fired a gun into the crowd to prevent violence.

During an interview with Christopher Darmenya on Hot FM, he stated, "Am advising all fans and especially Kotoko fans that they should comport themselves when they go to the stadium as the league is about to start.

"The National circles don't want to see what happened last season during their matches how some of the supporters behave at match venues and am assuring all the football fraternity that The National Circles Council are also putting measures to ensure good behaviour when the league starts and we will educate our supporters on football hooliganism before, during and after football matches to prevent football hooliganism and in our various stadia," he added.
