Manchester City will begin their quest for a third successive Premier League title at West Ham, while runners-up Liverpool play host to Norwich.

The fixtures for the 2019/20 season were announced on Thursday morning and it is Liverpool who will have the honour of playing in the curtain raiser when they face newly-promoted Norwich on Friday, 9th August.

The next day, City, who finished one point ahead of the Reds to clinch back-to-back league titles last season, will travel to West Ham in the lunchtime kick-off.

Pep Guardiola's side are 4/6 to complete a Premier League treble this season, while Liverpool are 9/4.

The top two from last term will go head-to-head for the first time on 9th November at Anfield, before clashing again at the Etihad Stadium at the start of April.

The opening weekend throws up a huge fixture on Sunday when Manchester United play host to Chelsea, while earlier in the day Arsenal travel to Newcastle United.

Champions League finalists Tottenham start their season against Aston Villa in the tea time kick-off on 10th August, while new boys Sheffield United will travel to Bournemouth.

The Blades are 4/6 to be relegated straight back to the Championship this season, with Norwich 10/11 and Villa 9/4 to go down.

Graham Potter will start life as Brighton boss with a trip to Watford, with Burnley taking on Southampton, Crystal Palace playing host to Everton and Leicester against Wolves completing the opening round of matches.
