CK Akonnor cited David Duncan's honesty as a key reason for being his assistant in the senior national team.
David Duncan has earned great experience after retiring from playing football in 1995. He has managed the likes of Great Olympics, AshantiGold, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
"I was looking for someone who could look at me and tell me I am wrong or right," he told Joy Sports.
He added: "Someone who would be honest with me on what I do. Duncan is that man."
Duncan together with CK Akonnor have been tasked with winning the AFCON in 2021 and qualifying the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
