Coach C.K Akonnor has set his sight on continuing Ghana’s good start to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers next month when the team takes on Sudan.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the team has two wins from two games already in the qualifiers, having defeat South Africa and Sao Tome before the qualifiers was suspended as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

According to coach CK Akonnor, he wants to build on the two wins next month when Ghana takes on Sudan.

“Of course, we want to continue from where he left off. Fortunately for me, I was there before he left and I am continuing from there. There is always heat, whether a friendly match or a competitive match and that heat will always be there and we are made of that kind of thing”, the coach said as quoted on the GFA website.

He continued, “Ghana will not accept any loss and therefore it is important for us to work hard to always achieve success. We have got to be alert, the way we do things and I strongly believe that  once the boys come in numbers to honour that match, we will do our best to get a win”.

Coach Akonnor will play his next Ghana game in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan in November.
