Former Ghana captain CK Akunnor says Black Stars coach Ibrahim Tanko was spot on with comments after Ghana's disappointing game with Kenya.
The Black Stars were beaten 1-0 in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier by Kenya on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium.
After the game, a very disappointed assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko accused some of the players of displaying a bad attitude in the game.
CK Akunnor thinks Tanko is right to make that comment but believes the team will bounce back.
"The fact that they performed in that manner was disappointing, shocking especially to the technical team because they have seen it and been with them and once you start to do something and see a lot of progression and then you don't expect to have a back slide in a way of performance and i think looking at how they played in previous performance and this one was very poor," he told Joy FM
"I can understand Tanko was furious and disappointed and spoke the way he did the message is clear and i am sure the players themselves know that this wasn't the best and i am sure in their next game they will go very high."
