Clubs remain anxious for release of Club Licensing report ahead of start of GPL

All 18 Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs are anxiously waiting for the Club Licensing Board to come out with their report in order to know whether their match venues have been accepted or not.

The 2019/2020 GPL season is just around the corner with teams ready to properly compete to win the enviable title.

Since the coming into office of the new GFA administration, they have been bent on getting the right things done and have hence tasked the Club Licensing Board to uphold its laws.

The board has in the last couple of weeks visited the various match venues of all the 18 clubs to inspect and decide whether they will be worthy enough to hold top-flight matches.

Set to present their final report in the next 24 hours, clubs are sitting on tenterhooks as they hope to have their venues accepted.

Already, GPL clubs such as Hearts of Oak, Inter Allies, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and WAFA are said to be in the clear with reports indicating that the Club Licensing Board was impressed when they inspected the facilities of those clubs.

The faith of the remaining clubs is yet to be known but footballghana.com sources say some of the match venues of some of the teams will be rejected.
