Head coach of Asante Kotoko Charles Kwablan Akunnor is confident Songne Yacouba will rediscover his goalscoring touch soon for Asante Kotoko ahead of the Caf Confederation Cup campaign which commences in February.

According to the former Dreams FC gaffer, it's only a matter of time for the Burkina Faso international to hit the ground running with following his inability to find the back of the net. Yacouba joined the team last year under coach Paa Kwesi Fabian.

The last time Yacouba scored for the Porcupine Warriors was a brace in Kumasi when his outfit defeated regional rivals AshantiGold 3-2 in September 2018 in a club friendly.

"Talking about Sogne Yacouba goal drought it's a face. It's a matter of time and he will score again".

"Juventus star Ronaldo had challenges when he joined the side at the early stage, but currently he is the leading goal scorer in the Serie A" So Yacouba is just a face and he will bounce back", he said at the post-match interview.

Kotoko talisman featured in their African campaign against Kariobangi Sharks and Coton Sports. He will be coming up against Nkana FC, Al-Hilal and Zesco United in the group C of Caf Confederation Cup February 1, 2019.
