Renowned Ghanaian scout, Coach Ebenezer Sefah is not convinced that the appointment of Chris Hughton as the new Black Stars head coach is the best for the national team.
According to him, although he has doubts about the capabilities of the new coach, he would want to give the new coach the benefit of the doubt to prove himself.
“Seriously, I don’t know. What is his track record? That is what I am asking, but what I am hearing is that he has coached in the EPL before, and that is it.
“When he was at [Nottingham] Forest, [he oversaw] eight matches, no win for him.
“Apart from that, what else?” Coach Ebenezer Sefah asked.
The popular Ghanaian scout continued, “Probably, he is coming in with a new philosophy, he is coming in with new ideas; so, I will give him the opportunity, and assess him after the two-header match against Angola.”
Ghana in March will play Angola in a double-header encounter of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
