Coach Ernest Thompson rates Ashantigold as the third biggest club in Ghana

Ashantigold trainer Ernest Thompson has rated his outfit as the third biggest club in the country.

The 55-year-old recently joined the miners on a two-year deal ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League campaign.

Speaking ahead of the new season, the former Ebusua Dwarfs coach insisted his side is the third biggest team in Ghana which comes with a lot of expectations.

"Ashantigold is one of the biggest teams in Ghana and with the exception of Kotoko and Hearts, Ashantigold is the next biggest thing in the country so the expectations are huge”

“A lot is being expected from the team this season, everything that is needed to be is being done and am okay and happy being here. So, we are only expecting a good time with Ashantigold in the Premier League."

Ashantigold begins their campaign with an away game against Eleven Wonders on Sunday.
