Head coach for Techiman Eleven Wonders, Frimpong Manso has charged Asante Kotoko to work on improving its defensive before going into the return leg of the final playoff round to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup against FC San Pedro.

The Porcupine Warriors after being booted out of the CAF Champions League has now turned attention to making a mark in the second-tier inter-club competition on the continent.

They hosted FC San Pedro at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last weekend and managed to win by a goal to nil even though they had to work extremely hard for that result.

They are now billed to travel to Cote d’Ivoire this weekend for the second leg and will need to get a good result to ensure they secure a spot in the group phase of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Sharing his thought on how Kotoko can survive the threat of the Ivorians, coach Frimpong Manso who is also a former player of the club says they need to work on their defense to stop FC San Pedro from scoring.

“The game is difficult, they are a strong side, their main aim was to train and sell the players abroad but right now they have changed their direction and want to compete in Africa well.

“Kotoko need to work on their defense, San Pedro can't score many goals at home”, he stressed.

The Ghana Premier League giants will depart Ghana to Abidjan on Friday ahead of the match which will be played on Sunday, November 3, 2019.
