Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu has revealed how he tactically masterminded his side's slim victory over arch rivals Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors came from a goal down to beat the Phobians 2-1 as they clinched their sixth President Cup title.

Kofi Kordzi gave Hearts the lead through the spot kick in the 37th minute of the game,

Kotoko equalised courtesy an own from Aminu Alhassan on the stroke of half time before Naby Keita bagged the match winner in the second-half to hand Maxwell Konadu’s side the win.

"I think, Hearts played well in the first half. When they switched to 4-3-3 in the second half, they were giving us a lot of problems in the midfield," Konadu explained in his post match presser.

"We took the risk by going to the 4-4-2 and it paid off and we quickly switched to 4-5-1 [formation] to make sure that we closed the game, but it wasn’t easy."

"Hearts played well, but I think we took our chances and at the end of the day we won."
