Coaches are hired and fired but I feel very safe and comfortable at Hearts of Oak - David Ocloo

Hearts of Oak assistant coach David Ocloo feels safe at the club despite the club's exit from the CAF Confederation Cup to Sunday.

Hearts needed to overturn a three goal deficit from the first leg in Mali but struggled to find the back of the net, until the 89th when Caleb Amankwah scored the game’s only goal.

Coach Ocloo, who is assisted by U-20 coach, Samuel Nii Noi replaced Samuel Boadu who parted ways with the club following a poor start to the 2022/23 league season.

"I feel very welcome, this is football, coaches are hired and fired, that is it. [Samuel] Boadu’s tenure is over, I’m interim," coach Ocloo told Radio Gold Sports.

"Maybe this is the end of my tenure as assistant coach of Accra Hearts of Oak.

"I feel very safe and comfortable [at Accra Hearts of Oak]."

Coach Ocloo parted ways with Asante Kotoko ahead of the 2022/2023 season.

He was part of the Porcupine Warriors technical team headed by Prosper Narteh Ogum, that won the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League.

He has previous managed Marantha of Togo, Sahel Sporting Club in Niger, WA All Stars and Liberty Professionals.
