Colombian sideEnvigado FC have confirmed the sale of Jorge Segura to Watford this summer. After enjoying an impressive rise through the First Division with Envigado, where he has been since his debut last March, the 20 year old centre backtold national radio about the move.

The club has since then took to Twitter for its own confirmation of his departure, with Seguraleaving for Hertfordshire later this yearin June. The towering defendermade his debut for Envigado, who finished 13th in last season's Colombian First Division, in March 2016 and has since made 22 starts for the club, scoring twice.

He also played four of Colombia's games in the South American Under-20 international tournament staged last month, and has been touted with a call-up to the full side in the near future.

There is doubt whetherSegura will be unlikely to spend next season at Vicarage Road dueto a possiblestruggle to justify the work permit he would need to play in England, where a lack ofexperience within the game can hinder applications.

A loan move to either Udinese or Granada will be on the cards for the Colombian as the London club would most likely use their links with their affiliated foreign counterparts.

With Both Adalberto Penaranda and Abdoulaye Doucoure having already been loaned out to both clubs owned by the Pozzo family, players like Segurawill be able to get enough experience and game time elsewhereto prove their quality.
