Colorado Rapids coach Robin Fraser has lauded Ghanaian defender Lalas Abubakar following his outfits stalemate against Los Angeles FC in the Major League Soccer.

The 28-year-old puts up an impressive show to help his side secure a point against defending champions Los Angeles FC after pulsating goalless at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

However, coach Robin Fraser has praised the former Columbus Crew’s player for his tenacity after explosive display against Los Angeles.

“Basically, Danny (Wilson)’s passing has been an important part of this team for a long time, and Lalas (Abubakar)’s tenacity has been an important part of this team for a long time”

“And I think when you look at the three of them on how well they’re playing together, it’s really about three good players learning to play with each other, having a good understanding of themselves and what is being asked of the team, so then, therefore they can transmit that information throughout the group.”

Rapids, despite failing to win any of their first six opening MLS games, reduced LAFC to a season-low two shot on target.

Lalas Abubakar has featured in all six games for Rapid in the 2023 MLS season.
