The board of Hearts of Oak are demanding from former head coach Kostadin Papic to come out with the main reasons for his resignation.
The Serbian tactician earlier this week left his post at the club after handing over his resignation letter.
Following a board meeting on Wednesday, Hearts of Oak has through a statement sough to give clarity to fans.
They explain in the statement that although Kosta Papic stated in his reasons that he was leaving for some personal reasons, checks with players have revealed that they were not happy working under the Serbian.
In the midst of the speculation of several narratives, Hearts of Oak is asking Kosta Papic to come out and explain why he really left the club.
“We are therefore by this statement challenging Mr. Kostadin Papic that he comes out with reasons (both as stated in his resignation letter and orally to the board) as to why he resigned and why the club has slumped since the game against Olympics. This we feel will curtail the speculations in the media,” part of a statement from Hearts of Oak has said.
Meanwhile, the club has assured fans that they are taking steps to appoint a new head coach.
