Petr Cech has stated that the performance of Arsenal and Chelsea during the Community Shield final on Sunday proves that both sides are ready for the upcoming Premier League season.
Arsenal and Chelsea played out a very competitive FA Community Shield Final on Sunday and following the game, Gunners goalkeeper Cech has stated that the strong displays from both sides is proof that the two teams are ready for the start of the Premier League season.
Cech said: "I think that both teams showed they are ready to compete and are ready for the Premier League.
"We had some players missing and everybody else had to contribute to today's win so I'm very pleased with the way we played and especially when we fell behind that we found the composure to play and keep going and find the equaliser.
"We showed good composure during the penalty shootout because all of our players didn't give a chance to Thibaut to save."
