Comoros international, Fuad Basirou has gifted the jersey he wore in the game against Ghana at the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament to Omonia Nicosia teammate Ernest Asante.
Unfortunately, the Ghanaian attacker was not part of the Black Stars squad and hence did not feature at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
Ernest Asante only had to resort to watching the group C match between his beloved Ghana and Comoros on television.
At the end of the matchday, Comoros beat Ghana 3-2 to send the Black Stars home.
After returning to Omonia Nicosia, Fuad Basirou who plays with Ernest Asante in Cyprus has gifted the jersey he wore for that historic match to the Ghanaian.
Asante after receiving the jersey posted it on social media with the caption “next time you v no chance. Thank you mate.”
