Competition in Arsenal’s midfield will help us get to our best level – Thomas Partey

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey believes that the intense competition for places in the team's midfield will play a crucial role in their pursuit of the Premier League title.

Having overcome a season plagued by injuries, the Ghanaian international is now fully fit and ready to vie for a starting spot alongside Declan Rice, Jorginho, and Martin Odegaard.

He also noted the presence of other players who can make a difference and emphasized the need for healthy competition, with the final decision resting on the manager, Mikel Arteta.

Speaking about the competition, Partey acknowledged the quality of his fellow midfielders, stating, “We have a lot of players in that position,” Partey said. “Jorgi is playing good, I am playing good. Dec is there, Martin (Odegaard) too.

“We also have other players who can come in and make a difference. We have to compete against each other and at the end of the day it is the Mister (Arteta) who decides.

“With this kind of competition, we can get to the level that we want to be at.”

Having been at Arsenal since 2020, Partey's contract is set to expire in 2025.
