The experienced midfielder joined Leopards in October 2019 and featured several times for the team last season when they, unfortunately, suffered relegation from the top-flight league.

Speaking in an interview, Edwin Gyimah has disclosed that he is now a free agent as he confirms he has left Black Leopards.

“My contract with Leopards has been terminated and this was done by mutual agreement. I still had another three years, but the contract has now been terminated,” the ex-Black Stars midfielder said as quoted on KickOff.com.

Gyimah continued, "The club was relegated and so that obviously meant there would be some changes made with matters relating to remuneration. It is against that background and the fact that I wasn’t so keen to play in the first division that we then came to this agreement to go our separate ways.”

At Black Leopards, Edwin Gyimah made 53 appearances in all competitions. In the past, he played for Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, Bidvest Wits, and a few other clubs.
