Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga declares Hearts of Oak’s readiness for 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign

Congolese midfielder Glid Otanga has expressed Hearts of Oak’s readiness for the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The domestic top-flight will commence this weekend, with Hearts of Oak expected to take on Real Tamale United in an away fixture at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

The Phobians wrapped up their pre-season after recording a deserving victory over Ghana Premier League newbies Nations FC at the Kpobiman Sports Complex on Sunday.

Martin Koopman’s side completed their off-season unbeaten run after posting a 2-0 victory over Nations with all goals coming in the second half of the match, courtesy Nurudeen Abdul Aziz and Kwadwo Obeng Jnr’s goals.

Otanga started the game before he was replaced in the second half by Nurudeen Aziz who eventually broke the deadlock for the Phobians.

After the game, the Congolese midfielder declared his sides readiness for the new campaign as they seek to make impact.

“We are ready for the season. We’ve prepared for over a month and I think we are ready to challenge Real Tamale United in the season opener” he said.
