Cordoba CF sign Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu on season-long deal

Spanish third-tier side Cordoba CF have completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Kwabena Owusu in the on-going transfer window, Footballghana.com report.

Owusu penned a season-long deal with the Green and White lads from Leganes CD after passing his mandatory medicals.

"I have joined Cordoba CF on a season-long loan deal from my parent club Leganes CD," he told Kickgh.com

"It's great to join one of the traditional clubs in Spanish football. I am hoping to excel here as well."

The 21-year-old was one of the standout players for Ghana at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations staged in Egypt.

He was previously loaned out to Real Oviedo, Cartegena, Toledo and spent last season at Salamanca CF where he scored 10 goals in 25 matches.

He earned a call-up to the Ghana U-23 team following his outstanding performance and has scored four goals in the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifiers.
