Covid-19: Afryie Acquah joins ex-Palermo players to raise fund for needy families in Italy

Ghanaian international Afriyie Acquah has joined a host of former Palermo players to raise funds to support needy families in the Italian city.

In the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic which has had a toll on countries all over the world, Italy is one of the most affected country.

They have the second-highest number of infected cases and has so far recorded the highest number of deaths.

Currently, the finances of the families in a lot of the Cities in Italy has been affected and has left many in need of support.

In a bid to also help, ex-Palermo players has been raising fund for needy families in the city that once allowed them to live their dream.

Black Stars asset and Yeni Malatyaspor midfielder Afriyie Acquah has joined the likes of Balzaretti, Sirigu, Ilicic, Miccoli, Benussi, Brichetto, Carrozzieri, Cassani, Bovo, Darmian, Kjaer, Zaccardo, Acquah, Blasi, Guana, Ilicic, Liverani, Migliaccio, Nocerino, Pastore, Simplicio, Amauri, Budan, Pinilla, Succi and Francesco Guidolin tp contribute money to support needy families in Palermo.

“Palermo is a city that has welcomed us with so much love, it is right to give back part of this affection”, ex-Palermo player Federico Balzaretti said in an interview.

Afriyie Acquah, 28, was a rosanero player from 2011-2013 where he made 31 appearances.
