Hapoel Tel Aviv, the club which Ghana’s Emmanuel Boateng plays for has canceled plans to return to training amidst the Coronavirus (Covid-19) after receiving notice from Israel Authorities.

The top-flight club has been on break just like most clubs around the world due to the global pandemic.

Last week, management of Hapoel Tel Aviv decided that they were going to return to training but with a special plan with the fitness coach to ensure they observe all the preventive measures against contracting the disease.

In a latest development, the plan has been aborted with Hapoel Tel Aviv confirming that it is in relation to a clarification directive they received from Israel Authorities.

“The team planned to return to light training, where each player was to have a personal training session with the fitness coach at a separate hours.

“However, following the clarifications we received, it was decided that the plan would be postponed until new guidelines were received from the Ministry of Health allowing this”, a club statement has explained.

It added, “Wishing good health to all the people of Israel and hoping for a quick return to routine.”

Emmanuel Boateng made 18 appearances in the Israel Premier League before it was suspended.
