Cristiano Ronaldo Goes Berserk at Referee & Launches Four Letter Rant as Real Madrid Beat Leganes

Real Madrid superstar is known for his penchant for a tantrum when things don't go his way. Nobody is exempt; teammates, opponents, managers - and he turned his ire on the match officials during his side's 3-0 home win over Leganes on Sunday.

Following Ronaldo's seventeenth minute booking for dissent, as reported bySport, the Portuguese forward completely lost his cool, telling match referee Mateu Lahoz to "f**k off".

It is thought that Lahoz didn't hear Ronaldo's foul-mouth tirade, as the 31-year-old escaped a second yellow card, which would have been a near certainty otherwise, especially in light of FIFA's new, stricter directives on abusive language aimed at match officials, released at the start of this season.

Ronaldo failed to find the net for the fourth straight La Liga home match in a row in the comfortable win, with Gareth Bale scoring twice in the first half, before Alvaro Morata made the game safe, with fourteen minutes remaining.

It was widely reported on Sunday that Ronaldo has agreed to sign a new five-year contract with Real Madrid, which will keep him at the club until he is 36.

Negotiations were lengthy, as despite Ronaldo's undoubted value to the club currently, it remains to be seen how much of a force he will be in the coming years.

But Madrid were understandably reluctant to be locked into paying a fading force the stratospheric wages Ronaldo will undoubtedly command.
