Cristiano Ronaldo scored his fifth goal for Juventus but Genoa rallied for a 1-1 draw in Serie A action on Saturday.

Ronaldo's score came off a corner in the 17th minute that Genoa goalkeeper Ionut Radu initially batted down but not before the Portuguese star was able to easily tap in from two yards out.

The hosts held onto the lead going into halftime but Genoa came out of the break attacking. Krzysztof Piatek, who has been in fine form so far this season, nearly earned the equaliser off a long-range shot in the 55th minute that fellow international teammate Wojciech Szczesny was able to keep out the bottom right corner.

Genoa finally grabbed their goal when Daniel Bessa scored off a header in the 66th minute.

The draw was the first dropped points for the Juventus this season, who remain at the top of the league table.
