Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has dismissed claims of an imminent Chinese takeover.

Palace secured investment from American duo Josh Harris and David Blitzer in December 2015, but reports on Saturday morning suggested that the Stateside pair were considering selling their shares to a Chinese corporation.

However, Parish says that is far from the truth.

He told BT Sport: "I've got no idea of somebody taking their share.

"It was the first time I heard that story this morning.

"We're committed to the club, Josh, David and I, but you never own a football club for ever. There's no thought that somebody would talk to them separately, and they would think about selling their shares.

"They're enjoying it, getting used to the pressure of the Premier League, it's not like their other sporting franchises they own where relegation isn't a factor, they're in it for as long as I want to be here I think."
