Crystal Palace midfielder Hiram Boateng who spent the first half of the season on loan with Bristol Rovers has been sent-out on-loan for the umpteenth time to League One Rivals Northampton Town.

Rovers coach Darrell Clarke sent back Boateng a week early after making 12 appearances for Rovers, but the Palace man struggled to get a run of games for the side.

Boateng has had previous loan spells with Crawley Town and Plymouth Argyle.

He has yet to make a League appearances for Palace, but has appeared twice in the F.A Cup for the Premiership side.

It was thought that Boateng was recalled by new Palace boss Sam Allardyce but his latest sojourn means Big Sam was not convinced by his output in training.

It means Boateng could possibly face his former teram mates when Rovers take on Northampton on January 7th.
