The reports also states that the current size and state of Roy Hodgson's squad prevents them from loaning him away, but that could shift later in the summer transfer season.

Rak-Sakyi had a fantastic season on loan at Palace's League One rivals Charlton Athletic.

Rak-Sakyi was the main performer at The Valley throughout a turbulent season, finishing the 2022/23 season with 15 goals and nine assists.

The tremendous performance in his debut season at senior level, earned him the Charlton Supporters' Player of the Year award and lots of Championship attention this summer.

Rak-Sakyi's first appearance in the Crystal Palace first-team squad was as an unused substitute against his previous club Chelsea on 10 April 2021, and he signed his first professional contract for the club two days later.

He made his debut as a substitute in a 3–0 defeat against former club Chelsea on 14 August 2021 in the Premier League.
