Crystal Palace's two new signings Jaroslaw Jach and Erdal Rakip won't feature in Tuesday night's London derby against West Ham United.
The pair have had less than a week to train with their new teammates.
"No, they will come with us to the game. It will be good experience for them," confirmed Eagles boss Roy Hodgson.
"Both of them will be very useful to us going forward. They will be able to play a part but it is much too early at the moment and I never dreamt for one minute they would come through the door and go straight in the team or the squad.
"They will have to work hard to do that because at the moment the centre-back is competing with three others of very high quality and Damien Delaney on top of that."
