The 30-year-old picked up the injury in the Serie A leaders' 2-1 defeat to Young Boys in the Champions League just over a fortnight ago.

"Today, Juan Cuadrado was given an arthroscopic treatment on his left knee for the injury to the external meniscus and the cartilaginous fracture," the club said on Friday.

"The intervention, carried out in Barcelona by Dr (Ramon) Cugat, and assisted by Juventus' Head of Medical Staff, Dr Claudio Rigo, was perfectly successful. The player will begin the recovery process in the next few days."

Juventus host fifth-placed Sampdoria on Saturday and are 1/5 to win the match. The Old Lady are 6/1 to win the Champions League this season.

Meanwhile, former Juve star Andrea Pirlo hopes the club win the race to sign Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also being linked with the Wales international but Pirlo said: "He is a talented player. He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything. And he scores a lot.

"Ramsey is a great purchase. Juventus are preparing another excellent deal. He is a strong player and could do very well."
