Cult-Hero Joe Allen Has Just Completely Burned All Bridges With Former Club Liverpool

Published on: 09 October 2016

Joe Allen may have just completely burned all bridges he's made with Liverpool Football Club over the last four years.

Reds fans went into uproar as the club decided to sell him to Stoke City in the summer. The Welsh international, likened to the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Xavi Hernandez over the course of his career so far - for both playing style and look - is generally one of the more undervalued and underrated players plying his trade in the Premier League at the moment.

And even Liverpool didn't value him enough to keep him. He left, however, with the best wishes of the Liverpool faithful and even kept doing his former club favours by scoring Stoke's equaliser to stop arch-rivals Manchester United winning last weekend.

But good lordy, he's not going to please Reds fans with his latest revelation.

It came in an interview with a lad called Stefan for FAWTV, in a video posted on YouTube. Allen sat down with the youngster - a United fan - and he was quick to ask "why did you have to score (against United last week)?"...

His response?

"Don't tell anyone, but I was a Man U fanas well, so it was a bit tough for me to score that goal."

That's that for Liverpool and Joe Allen, then. But never mind old boy, you're still in Welsh hearts. Skip along to 1:40 for the moment of destruction.
