Nsoatreman FC coach Maxwell Konadu believe current Asante Kotoko players lack the character to play for the club, hence their struggles in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

With only one point from their last six matches, the Ghanaian giants currently find themselves in the 9th position of the league log.

On Thursday, Kotoko suffered their third straight defeats at the Baba Yara Stadium after falling short to Nsoatreman FC in matchday 25 of the Premier League on Thursday.

Speaking to Akoma FM, Konadu asserted Kotoko players lack the character to play for the club.

“I don't believe it is a coaching issue, when the players play, it is clear that they are afraid”

“The demands placed on the players appear to put them under additional strain, they lack the character required to play as a Kotoko player, which I believe is their issue”

“This is the critical moment for the players to have the support of the media and fans. Much pressure from these stakeholders will not help matters, instead, fans should support the technical team and playing body in order to turn things around. The players are not bad; none of them will be a benchwarmer at any GPL club, but they appear to panic when playing”

“The players are not bad, none of them will be a benchwarmer at any GPL club, but they appear to panic when playing” he concluded.

Asante Kotoko will travel to Dawu to face CAF Confederations Cup campaigners, Dreams FC in matchday 26 of the Premier League.
