Former Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association, Sammy Anim Addo, is confident the current group of Black Starlets will be become valuable asserts in the near future.

He articulates this sentiment in light of the impressive football showcased by Ghana’s U17 national team, the Black Starlets, during the ongoing 2024 WAFU B U17 Cup of Nations.

The Black Starlets secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Ivory Coast in their opening game, followed by a solid 2-0 win against Benin in the Group Stage.

Despite Ghana facing challenges in transitioning players from the junior ranks to the Black Stars, Anim Addo remains optimistic about the team's prospects.

"These boys can fit into any system and at the same time, they will grow to become great assets to the nation, from here to U20, to U23 and the Black Stars so I am happy to see what he's doing,” he told Joy Sports.

The Black Starlets will now face Burkina Faso in the semifinal, hoping to reach the final and qualify for the 2025 U17 AFCON.
