Ghana legend, Mohammed Polo beleives the current Black Stars players can still do better due to the abundance of talent in the squad.

His comments come after the team recorded back-to-back wins against Mali and Central African Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers last month.

Ghana fought back to record a 2-1 win against the Eagles in Bamako before a thrilling 4-3 win against the Wild Beasts at the Baba Yara Stadium.

However, Polo beleives that with the abundance of talent in the country, the right measures must be put in place to produce more talented players.

According to him, despite Black Stars back to back wins, the team can still produce better performances.

"We have a lot of talents in this country and we get more with the right people in place doing the right things," he told Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com.

"We have seen Black Stars winning two games in the World Cup qualifiers but I believe we can still do more because we have talent in this team and I believe if the right things are done, we will get more talents to help improve the team," he added.

After the wins in the Mundial qualifiers, the Black Stars will now focus on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers scheduled for September later this year.

Ghana have been paired with Angola, Niger and Sudan in Group F.
