Cutrone: I want to cause problems for AC Milan coach

After netting the winner in AC Milan’s 2-1 victory over Roma, Patrick Cutrone admitted he isn’t all that pleased with starting matches from the bench.

The Rossoneri secured their first win of the campaign on Friday, with the young Italian firing home Gonzalo Higuain’s through ball in the dying seconds to send the San Siro into rapture.

Cutrone made it clear he’d rather start games than come on as a substitute, and that he’ll do all that he can to force his way into coach Gennaro Gattuso’s plans.

“We won, what more could I ask for,” he told reporters after the match. “It’s even better at the last minute.

“The bench? I’ve always been this way, I never want to be on the bench. I have a great striker [Higuain] ahead of me, but I will do all that I can to cause the coach [Gattuso] problems.

“And I will do all that I can to help the team, even from the bench.”

Milan’s next match pits them against Cagliari on September 16.
