Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey is set to move on from Leicester City at the end of this season, his manager, Yusif Chibsah has disclosed.

The defender who can also play as a midfielder has not featured for the Foxes this season as a result of an injury he carried from last season.

He recovered midway through the 2019/2020 campaign but never got on the good sides of new manager Brendan Rogers.

With the future at the club not looking good at the moment, Daniel Amartey’s management has decided that it will be best to look at other options.

“Amartey has recovered and we are looking to find new opportunities for him. He’s been out of favour under the new gaffer so we will see how best we can solve that issue,” Yusif Chibsah said in an interview with Starr Sports.

He added, “He is still with the Foxes but he is not been getting more playing time due to the fact that he got injured but after his injury, they consider him as surplus so there should be a way out”.

Daniel Amartey, 25, still has more years ahead of him and hopes to get the opportunity to play regularly next season.
