Daniel Amartey shackles Man City midfield in Leicester 4-2 win

Published on: 11 December 2016

Ghana international midfielder Daniel Amartey lasted the entire duration of the game for Leicester City as they hammered Manchester City 4-2 at the King Power Stadium.

The win was secured courtesy a hat-trick by Jamie Vardy and another strike by Amartey's midfield partner Andy King.

Amartey produced a dominant central midfield display to disrupt the flow of the expensively assembled City midfield as Leicester cruised.

Aleksandar Kolarov, with a free-kick, and Nolito scored late consolation goals for the away side.

For the defending EPL champions Leicester, victory ended a five-game run without a league win and moved them up to 14th place.
