Daniel Amartey to have scan after picking up injury against West Ham

Daniel Amartey will have a scan on his hamstring after hobbling off during Leicester City’s 3-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday.

In what was his second Premier League game back since his ankle break against West Ham two years ago, the Ghanaian went down clutching the back of his leg after a ball forward, and was taken straight down the tunnel after receiving treatment.

He will not be assessed, manager Brendan Rodgers said.

"It looks like his hamstring, but we’ll get confirmation in the next couple of days," Rodgers said after the game, as reported by his club's official website.

Daniel Amartey was taken straight down the tunnel after he received treatment on the pitch at the King Power Stadium.

He impressed on his return in a pre-season friendly against Blackburn Rovers, scoring on the day, and has gone on to play in each of The Foxes' last three games in all competitions, including the club’s sensational 5-2 league triumph over Manchester City on matchday three.
