Daniel Amartey's former manager at Djurgårdens wins title with Hacken

Per Mathias Hogmo was Daniel Amartey's manager at Swedish club Djurgarden a few years ago. Amartey joined FC Copenhagen before moving to Leicester in January 2016.

In 2013, shortly after Daniel Amartey left for FC Copenhagen as well, Per "Messiah" was summoned home from Sweden and Djurgarden to take over the Norwegian national team as the player and coach drifted in opposite ways.

Hogmo has not managed a top football team since 2018, although he took over Hacken last season after the team had been in serious problems and was a relegation candidate.

He gradually gathered up the points required to escape danger, and this season he marched on to win the Allsvenskan, Sweden's highest football league.

Hogmo also managed another Ghanaian Ibrahim Sadiq at Hacken this season.
