Daniel Kyerewaa parts ways with Schalke O4 after failing to reach an agreement on a new contract

German-born Ghanaian Daniel Kangam Kyerewaa, a talented midfielder from Schalke O4, has officially parted ways with the club.

After weeks of negotiations, both parties were unable to come to an agreement on a new contract, leading to a mutual decision to go their separate ways.

Daniel Kangam Kyerewaa has been part of Schalke 04's u-23s for a year but had to take a long break last season due to an injury.

The midfielder started his youth career with Fortuna Düsseldorf. He played for Fortuna's u-16 (07/2016 - 06/2018), 17 (07/2016 - 06/2018), and u-19 (07/2018 - 08/2020) before moving to Schalke 04.

A number of teams, notably Hamburg SV, Greuther Furth, and his old club Dusseldorf, have expressed interest in Daniel Kangam Kyerewaa.

This season he has made ten appearances for Schalke 04 II in the Regionalliga West league. He has scored four goals for Schalke 04 II.

Daniel Kangam Kyerewaa lasted 71 minutes in Schalke 04 II's thrilling 5-5 draw with Borussia Mönchengladbach II on Saturday.
